Thermal Imaging

Thermal imaging is commonly used to determine the malfunction of equipment by analyzing areas of heat that are not visible to the naked eye. We offer thermal imaging for apartment buildings and commercial structures. Thermal imaging of electrical components such as breaker boxes, transformers, and motors can determine if things are working as they should. An increase in the temperature of a component can indicate if that component is about to fail. This can help with prescribed maintenance that will need to happen with the components in the near future.

What Can Thermal Imaging Detect

  • Areas of heat loss in buildings and homes

  • Hot spots in electrical equipment and wiring

  • Overheating motors, bearings, and other mechanical equipment

  • Leaks in plumbing systems

  • Moisture intrusion in building materials

  • Areas of fire and combustion

  • Thermal anomalies in building materials that may indicate potential structural problems

  • Heat loss or gain from HVAC systems

When To Use It

Fire investigations: Thermal imaging cameras are utilized to test equipment and appliance to determine if they are functioning as they were designed.

Electrical inspections: Thermal imaging cameras can detect hot spots in electrical equipment and wiring that may be indicative of a potential failure or malfunction. This can help prevent electrical fires and ensure the safe operation of equipment.

Building inspections: Thermal imaging cameras can identify areas of heat loss in buildings and homes, which can help identify energy efficiency issues and improve insulation.
